Adel Ferdosipour (Persian:عادل فروسی پور ; born 1974, Tehran, Iran), is an Iranian journalist, translator, football commentator and television show host and producer. He is the host and producer of the famous and popular TV show: Navad (i.e. ninety in Persian language, with reference to standard duration of an association football match). His parents are from Rafsanjan, a town in Kerman province. Turkish football coach Mustafa Denizli has agreed to return to the green fields for the last time and steer the Persepolis football team after poor results forced former coach Hamid Estili to quit.

The 62-year-old Turk confirmed on a Turkish sports television show on Friday night that he is set to travel to Iran and join Persepolis on an 18-month contract.

Denizli – who has managed notable Turkish football clubs Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas, and has won the Turkish League title five times – worked with Persepolis in the 2006-07 season of Iran’s Premier League.

Persepolis had initially entered talks with Bayer Leverkusen coach Klaus Toppmoller, Swede Sven-Goran Eriksson, Italian Roberto Donadoni and 56-year-old Croat Luka Bonacic to become the new coach of Tehran-based football team. They all turned down the offer.

Estili, a forty four-year-old Iranian coach, took the decision to leave Persepolis after arch-rival Esteghlal football team trounced the Reds 3-0 at a derby in front of approximately 70,000 spectators at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium on Friday December 9.

Estili was appointed as Persepolis head coach at the beginning of Iran’s current football premier league season after the world’s all-time leading goal scorer Ali Daei refused to cooperate with the squad.

Cougar Soccer rolls to 10-0 victory over Hesston
The Barton Community College men’s soccer team showed no signs of a letdown after Sunday’s victory over No. 7 Otero by dismantling Hesston College 10-0 today. The Cougars move to 3-0 on the season and have outscored their opponents 18-0. Barton will travel to Tyler, TX this weekend to play the No. 1 and No. 9 teams in the country.

“We kept to the game plan and competed with a solid overall performance,” Barton Head Coach Oliver Twelvetrees said. “It was a total team effort with everyone getting involved and contributing.”

Leading the Cougar goal scoring was Fabio Priore with 4 goals. Barton had five other players score goals with nine assists by eight different players as they outshot Hesston 25-1.

“I thought Priore obviously had a good day along with Nestor Morales having a solid game,” Twelvetrees said. “Overall each of the boys played solid and contributed to the win. It should prepare us well for this weekend’s tough games in Texas.”

Also scoring for the Cougars were Jonson Shaad, Diogo Quirino, Andre Souza, and Lippi Souza whose 90′ free kick rounded out the first half scoring, netted two goals on the day.

Notes:
Vinicius Braga was named the Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week Tuesday. The sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil scored the game winning goal Sunday against No. 7 Otero. He also helped anchor a tough defense to two shutout victories over the week-end which included only 5 shots on goal.
