D stands for Draws and GD means goal difference (goals scored – goals given up), and yes PTS is points.

P = Played
W = Wins
D = Draws
L = Losses
GF or F = Goals Scored
GA or A = Goals Conceded / Goals your opponent scored against you
GD = Goal difference (Goals Scored minus Goals Conceded)
Pts = Points

Fabian has answered this. If two teams are on the same points, the team that has scored most goals will go above the other. The teams that finish in the bottom 3 are relagated to the lower division.
Manchester United are the best football team in the world.

GD= goal differential, I think. Yep, PTS would be points. What stat tables are you looking at, though?
I suggest you look at the Arsenal site: http://www.arsenal.com
Each team has a site you can get stats from.
Other abrevs:
SP= set piece
CS- clean sheet
MWG= match winning goal
GF= goals forfeited
GW= goals won
GA= goal assists
S= saves
FW= fouls won
FL= fouls lost
etc.
Or go to Yahoo sports and look at those tables. There are MANY you can gather stats from…
Good luck!
